Accommodations in Elkin, NC

All five, one-bedroom cabins are approximately 400 square feet. The views are spectacular, overlooking Big Elkin Creek. The Mill House is our pet-friendly cabin and is situated across the creek from a historic, century-old mill and vineyard. The Hawk's Nest and The Cottage are further downstream, but still afford breathtaking views of Big Elkin Creek. Just like The Mill House, these cabins offer a queen size bed with full size sleep sofa. Papa John's and Deer Run are located just west of our other cabins. Papa John's has the same floor plan as our other cabins and Deer Run is an actual log cabin with a queen size bed downstairs and a full size bed in a sleeping loft accessible by a ladder. Warm your toes by the gas fireplace or wind down in the hot tub that also overlooks the creek!

The Mill House

The Mill House was the first cabin we built in 2006. We chose the site because of its close proximity to a century-old grist mill across the creek. We do allow one four-legged friend to join you in the cabin. If you bring a dog, there will be a $30, plus tax, pet fee. They'll love walking down to the creek for a dip just as much as you'll enjoy listening to the water gently spill over the dam at the mill! The Mill House can sleep up to four people with a queen size bed and a full-size sofa sleeper sofa. This cabin has a small kitchen with everything you need to create a simple meal, bathroom with walk-in shower, plus a 32" TV, gas fireplace, air conditioning, heating, WiFi, and more! With gentle greens and warm reds and yellows, The Mill House is the epitome of a warm and cozy cabin! The Mill House offers a private, four-person hot tub on the back deck overlooking Big Elkin Creek. Go ahead and slide in! The water is fine!!

The Hawk's Nest

Named after a favorite red-tail hawk! The Hawk's Nest was the second cabin we built on the property. It has a fresh, yellow decor that is a joy to wake up to every morning with an invigorating hot tub on the back deck! The Hawk's Nest has a queen size bed and a full-size sofa sleeper sofa. This cabin has a small kitchen with everything you need to create a simple meal, a bathroom with walk-in shower, plus a 32"Satellite TV, WiFi, and more! It has a gas fireplace and heat pump that are wonderful when it's cold outside and air conditioning for the hot summer months. Plus, it has a private hot tub to be enjoyed every day of the year!

The Cottage

Subtle blue hues make this cabin a favorite! All of our cabins feature colors found on the property. The Cottage is bathed in blue, like the Carolina blue sky above! The Cottage is tucked down on a hillside providing plenty of privacy from the rest of the world! If it's a Frog Holler rental, you know there's a hot tub on the back deck! The Cottage has one that overlooks the meandering Big Elkin Creek located just below! Inside, you'll enjoy a 32" Satellite TV, WiFi, a comfy queen size bed, a full-size sofa sleeper, a gas fireplace, a heat pump with heat and air conditioning, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower!

Deer Run

Little log cabin in the woods! Just like our other cabins, Deer Run offers all the comforts of home in a setting that's far enough away for complete peace and quiet, yet centered in the heart of the Yadkin Valley Wine Region of North Carolina. This cabin can sleep up to four. It's great for families with children over seven years of age, but due to the ladder and loft it is not recommended for children any younger or those of any age with mobility issues. Enjoy a comfy queen size bed, plus a second queen size bed in the loft (accessible by ladder), 32" Satellite TV, WiFi, gas fireplace, heat pump with heat and air, kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower, and your own private hot tub on the back deck! NO TRAILERS ALLOWED AT DEER RUN. TRAILERS MUST BE PARKED IN PARKING LOT.

Papa John's Cabin

Papa John's Cabin is privately situated and offers a comfortable queen-size bed, as well as a full-size sofa sleeper. As with our other cabins, Papa John's has a small kitchen with everything you need to create a simple meal, plus a 32" Satellite TV situated over the fireplace to be enjoyed from the sitting area or from the comfort of bed! It has a heat pump with heat and air, WiFi, a bathroom with walk-in shower, plus a private hot tub on the back deck overlooking Big Elkin Creek! NO TRAILERS ALLOWED AT PAPA JOHN'S. TRAILERS MUST BE PARKED IN OUR PARKING LOT.

Guests must be at least 21 years of age. *Unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Rental Information Policies

We have one cabin, The Mill House, that is pet friendly. We allow one medium/large size dog or two "toy" breeds of 10 lbs or less each. Pet is NEVER to be left unattended, either inside the cabin or outside. It must be crated if left alone inside the cabin. It must be on a leash with owner while outside. A pet fee of $30 per stay, plus tax, is charged. Boarding facilities are also available within minutes of Frog Holler.
We allow two private vehicles per cabin. Any additional vehicles must be approved by management prior to arrival. We do not allow any trailers - open or closed, private or commercial - at any time.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING ALLOWED INSIDE CABINS.

Cabin and/or Wine Tour Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING. Those made 30 days or more before the scheduled arrival will receive a refund of the deposit, less credit card processing fee. Cancellations made 29 days to 8 days before scheduled arrival will receive a 50% refund of the deposit, less credit card processing fee. Reservation must be paid in full at least one week prior to arrival. Credit card on file will be used unless another form of payment is presented. Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to arrival will receive no refund monies paid. However, we will refund monies, less credit card processing fee, for any canceled nights we are able to re-book. No refunds for early departure.)

Payment

A 50% deposit will secure your reservation.
4.75% North Carolina tax is additional, plus 2.25% Wilkes County. A 6% Wilkes County Occupancy tax is also added to cabin rentals.
Balance must be paid one week prior to stay.
A rental contract and hot tub agreement must be signed upon arrival.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

Check-In/Check-Out

Check-in is any time 3:00pm or later and check out is by 11am.
Bed linens are provided, as well as bath linens consisting of one towel/one washcloth per day, per person. Maid service is not provided.
You are expected to wash and put away dishes and place BAGGED trash in outside receptacle.
No smoking or vaping is allowed in cabin. Pails are provided on deck, but windows and doors must be shut to try and prevent smoke/vapor from entering cabin. Additional charges may apply for failure to comply.
Two night minimum stay is required for all reservations.
In the event of damages or extra cleaning requirements, additional charges will be applied. Upon arrival, please report any damages, shortage or supplies, or household issues immediately. Any hot tub concerns must be brought to management attention PRIOR to use.
